The ImagXpress® control provides image display features, which will alter the display of an image after it loads, without modifying the image in the ImagXpress image buffer (DIB).
There are some advantages to modifying the view rather than the image data:
- It is faster to change the view than to actually change the image data.
- Changes made to the view are not permanent.
- Changing the display rather than the image data enables applications to maintain multiple views of one image, processed independently.
The user can change the size of the display of the image, change the view position, track cursor position, and modify image rendering in the display without changing the image itself.
